Intern Kitchen

Interns, volunteers, and eco-tourists on a budget can prepare their own gourmet meals in our communal kitchen, which is fully equipped with toaster oven, propane stove, coffee machine, rice cooker, blender, pots and pans, and cutlery. There is also a good selection of spices and basic cooking items (vegetable oil, hot sauce, salt and pepper, etc.) which are provided. This kitchen building also has a large attached covered deck that is used as a dining area and it overlooks the luscious jungle foliage. Clean mountain-fed well water feeds the kitchen, but it is also equipped with a bottled water dispenser and Crystal bottle water which is provided. The kitchen and dining area can easily accommodate 10 guests. When there are large groups or different groups that want to use the kitchen, a cooking schedule is enforced to ascertain that everyone has a pleasant experience in the kitchen. Since we are on a regularly serviced public bus route, it is easy to jump on the bus and head to the market to buy your fresh ingredients.
