We employ locals from the immediate community as much as is possible at T.R.E.E.S. In addition to us benefiting from their knowledge, we help them gain valuable skills that work to empower the community as a whole. Examples include providing training for Swift Water Rescue, First Aid and Wilderness First aid certification, as well as teaching construction, how to operate a commercial kitchen, English language skills, basic computer literacy, and how to use Microsoft Office suite for business organization. Additionally, we welcome our employees to join in when biologists visit and train us on the local flora and fauna. If you have any special skills you would like to share, or have an interest in training locals in computer literacy or English, contact us and see how you can become involved as a volunteer or intern.
